Ingredients:

  1. Vegetables (potato/broccoli/celery/cabbage/lettuce/cucumber/or what you like)
  2. 300g Chicken / pork /duck meat
  3. 1Tbsp chili soy bean paste (dou pan paste)
  4. 10 dried chili peppers
  5. 4 slices ginger
  6. 5 cloves garlic
  7. 2 leeks (cut into 1 inch in length)
  8. 2Tbsp Chinese yellow wine
  9. 2Tbsp soy sauce
  10. 3 tsp sugar
  11. 2Tbsp oil
  12. 5 star anises
  13. 1 handful powdered Chinese prickly ash seed

Preparation steps

  1. Wash and cut vegetable and meat, boil the meat in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat pot over high heat, add oil, add dried chili peppers, powdered Chinese prickly ash seed, star anises, chili soybean paste, ginger, garlic, leeks, and stir-fry quickly till fragrant.
  3. Put meat, vegetables into the pot, and stir-fry, and then add soy sauce, wine, sugar, stirring for about 10-min.
